All of the products we make are the result of exhaustive trial, failure, collaboration and craftsmanship. With a focus on local production we have the opportunity explore that process hand in hand with expert craftsmen and women in our community. This is the story of Tim Corcoran, one of our master woodturners and the sculptor of the Aurora Lamp.
Tim Corcoran started woodturning with his father while growing up in the Muskingum River valley in southern Ohio. In 1994, after spending years in the aeronautics industry Tim decided to return to his childhood roots and established Aurora Colony Woodturning. Since then Tim has been hand turning high end wood components for furniture makers, builders and The Good Flock.
